Money is not everything. What about Clean air, dispiclined society, hygenic, welfare facilities, clean water, free schools?

As someone who has lived abroad for all my professional career (16 years).. the idea of making money abroad at the start of career and moving back to jndia when aged 35-40 makes a lot of sense... professionally you will be placed in senior management roles and financially you would be in a good position as well.. it is a difficult move for anyone to do it but with current setup this is ideal.. ideal for family and kids also.. myself in midst of doing the same..

I can observe that all 4 have a big bellies, I think that is the first sign of financial independence

Whole discussion is baseless. Money is not everything, after 30/35, family and spending time with family matters.
Go abroad, enjoy life and come back to enjoy culture, friends and family. Just what I have done.
@Pushkar2310
Irrespective of where you live, thinking too much about money won’t help in the long run. While financial stability is important, neglecting health and fitness can have serious consequences that no amount of money can fix.
I couldn’t help but notice that in discussions about living in different countries, the focus is almost always on financial aspects. Yet, none of the speakers on this podcast emphasized the importance of health or fitness in the equation.
It’s time to shift our mindset. A balanced life—one that values well-being as much as wealth—is what truly matters. Let’s start giving health and fitness the attention they deserve, alongside financial considerations.

I earn in euros while staying in india. I think this is best of both the worlds as i earn in euros and spend in rupees

I worked in india and currently in Australia. I didnt come here for money. The Air quality, water and the lifestyle . Even if i didnt have financial independence, i still would opt out of india. And i m not even getting to corruption, population etc
@SP30039
I was making 5L per annum in Bombay at 22 in marketing. Moved abroad, did my masters, now at 27 my monthly salary is the same as my annual salary in India. Trust me, if you are smart and know how to save your money well, it makes such a HUGE difference. I have a single mother that I take care of and moving abroad has given me so much financial freedom to actually take care of her completely. Till now (touchwood) there has never been a moment where she wanted something and I couldn’t get it. It would have taken me 10-15 years to achieve that in India.
@sj_wanders
This discussion shouldn't be abroad v/s India but instead one regions like (Candada/Aus/UK v/s India) , (USA v/s India) etc... No one beats USA salaries.. Good techies are either in India or USA... Canada/UK mein sab kachra hay!!
@makkialqaosain8872
This. I'm British and can attest it is trash. Never mind if you're an international student. My advice is if you know people in the UK who can refer you to jobs come here. Otherwise just go to the US or just stay in India.

We moved permanently to Australia from Gurgaon. AQI is 4-40 entire year, girls are SAFE, Milk is PURE and Not shampoo/urea, vegetables/fruits are Near Organic, we drink tap water and temperature ranges between 20-30 degrees. BEST DECISION in life and Plenty of jobs & Desi community.
@FlorentGulliver
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
@UfndhvrfEjhdiqof
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
@gwalia.online
In my opinion, the real luxury of life is to be able to enjoy life to the fullest, grow to be a better human everyday, be the best for others, have choices open for you at any phase of life. As a common man, this is becoming impossible in india.
Only way out is to move abroad at young age, get a strong passport, generate wealth till mid-30s, pay taxes in a country where it feels like an investment in your future and not a burden. It is far better to live below your means in an expensive country, than struggling to match superficial expectations of indian society. I dont even want to talk about the failure of almost all indian institutions. Dont even talk about the poor air quality which will ensure than you dont have any life left after retirement age and all savings will go into health treatments.
90 crore indians are younger than 30 years. Do they have a comfortable future? Imagine the level of struggle waiting for them when they enter the workforce. Now, imagine the level of struggle, when jobs market becomes even more tight due to disruptions of AI.
@perinkolamchandrasekaran
Well run discussion on this topic. In my opinion ( I came to USA in 1973 - did higher studies and stayed back - been here 52 years) and retired four years ago from my academic job as professor. It is too complex a topic to come to a conclusion as to which is better : India or Abroad. Either can work out depends on your circumstances.I say comparing India and Abroad is like comparing Apples and Oranges. Both are fruits, but there are so many differences between the two fruits. For me and MY family with two kids raised here ( The issue of kids and their education was not discussed in the youtube) , it worked out better. But , during the current economic and political environment - I am not sure how smart it is to come and settle down in this country. People from India on H-1 Visas have been waiting for 15 + years with NO green card prospects !. But studying, working and living in another part of the world teaches you many life lessons for sure. So whether You get rich or not - the life experiences you get are worth something.

I am an average 39 year old engineer living in Nashville, TN earning an average salary. I live in a 4 bedroom 3 full bath 2700 sq ft single family home. I have 5 homes worth $2.3 million in total with my equity of $600k. It is growing at $100k every year in appreciation and principal paid. I wouldn’t have been able to grow my wealth like this in India. US is good if you are an average, it gives you better quality of life and excellent opportunities to build generational wealth. As far as smart people goes (IIT-IIM types or street smart), they can make money anywhere in the world.

Bro I'm so tired of this science bias in Bharat. Please get some Commerce people, preferably high-end like Company Secretaries, Chartered Accountants, etc. if possible I'm ready to jump on a call to spread some knowledge. I'm 29M, a qualified Company Secretary , currently working as a M&A associate banker at Barclays London (120k base). I worked in Morgan Stanley as an analyst banker in Mumbai for 4 years (20LPA) before moving here. Soon I will be moving to NYC for the post of senior associate at a different investment Bank (200k base) after this FY ends.
Edit: added some additional info if you wanna reach out

Savings is all about your personal perceptions and living standard choices. Nothing else. Like I prefer to be in urban areas of Indian cities and not in deep suburbs of US or European cities like 90% Indians. Also note that Flight tickets are 4X post COVID and house rent has doubled largely affecting the NRIs. EOD salaries have significantly increased in India and an average educated Indian could save (happily) as much as living in developed nations (not so happily)
@Jaysv216
I live in canada the reason I find my career growth easier here is because there is something called socialism in Canada and USA which sees the skill of a person and truly appreciates then through promoting them as a reward . India also follows socialism but its not really in action as you have to befriend your boss to really impress him for a promotion whereeas here its not like that
@User1976valid
Opting job abroad is good choice. But just by salary very difficult to make corpus. Passive income via real estate / equity investments is must parallel to job. Work till age of 40/50 and back to India. People know what they loose emotionally in other countries
@shobhitdixit991
People who claim to have a better life back home are for only few reasons:
They never had a big boy/girl job. They only did basic low skills/income job.
They cant live without family help, going back to my first point. They realized they dont have financial understanding.
I personally left India 15 years ago, i dont see myself moving back to India ever. Not that i font live my country, i just prefer my life here.
1)他們從來沒做過真正的“大人工作”,只是做些低技能、低收入的活兒;
@MakeItBetterForTomorrow
After staying in abrod the number will 80-20. Been there seen it all. More over the other aspect of lifes are not covered lile emotional support for mental health in India or clean and fresh air of US/EU. Definitely one will earn more money in abroud than in abrod, but the question is whether he/she will return back after 10 years. If not then you will not achived ur goal and if yes then ur a brave heart
